Proud of our team for taking home an award for our Marshside on Jack Island project! Thank you to the Charleston Home Builder’s Association for honoring and supporting our team in this incredible industry! Our Marshside home on Jack Island was such an incredible project to work on with our homeowners and their vision of Lowcountry living. Sitting right on the marsh in Kiawah River, the large back porch and expansive tiered back yard have a great view of the resident spoonbills that regularly roost next to this home.
As you walk through the double front doors, you pass under the gorgeous Ro Sham Beaux rattan and glass beaded chandelier and into the treillage clad front hall. We used treillage trim, from Fuller Architectural Panels, and natural rattan details through-out this home, as seen here in the front office, under the transoms, as ceiling crown, and along the stairwell. A handsome Ralph Lauren fixture sits in the home office and picks up on the bamboo details of the rattan lattice work and bamboo Waterworks bookcase hardware.
Our kitchen is a neutral coastal palette pairing Mouser’s light Dune wood and Alabaster cabinets with a large dolomite stone island, full height splash, unlacquered brass hardware and Palecek light fixtures. The scullery is a hidden gem and is filled with a jewel box of details! Washed in a hazy blue-green paint and adorned with glass tiles and gold hardware, this scullery is a beautiful extension off the main kitchen. The living room has walls of windows, an oyster shell tabby and mother-of-pearl mosaic tile fireplace surround, as well as large rattan wall sconces that flank the back window wall. Serena and Lily fixtures, and rattan details can be seen through-out this coastal home along with pops of soft blues and greens.
Everything in this custom home was well thought-out to create an airy and natural aesthetic. We were just as excited as our homeowners to hand them the keys to their beautiful new home on the marsh. Upon their move-in day, we gifted them a custom commissioned Jenn Griffith original painting. Jenn is a local Charleston artist who captures the Lowcountry landscapes in her pieces. We had her do a site visit of the home prior to completion for inspiration for her piece. We love how this project turned out and are proud to be recognized as one of the top Charleston custom home builders in the industry!
